Any one try tyvek type wristbands for leg bands?

I am considering these instead of buying bandettes. I found a source for them on sheets that you can send through a laser printer, or use sharpies to write on. I won't be restricted to limited colors or numbers only.

Any thoughts? Anyone try these before?

Never tried them, but if they work for you, let everyone know! As long as they come off easily by you and not them, I don't see why not.

I'm resurrecting this old post to see if anyone has tried Tyvek or plastic wristbands for leg bands.

I put spiral leg bands on my Guineas tonight, but they're so skinny (or maybe my vision is poor, and/or it was also approaching dusk at the time), that I find myself wanting something more easily visible.

How well would Tyvek, or plastic wristbands (like for fairs and such) work? Would they tear the Tyvek into shreds? would the color fade too quickly?

Or is it really better to use bandettes in this case?
