Any other breeders who thread test sex of eggs using black thread on a needle?

We did this as a department N Project. Tried a couple different methods (feather sexing, the thread on eggs and chicks, holding the chick certain ways, selecting both super narrow and super round eggs). Every test gave different indications, and the most accurate (feather sexing) was 'right' about 50 percent

Well it's clear you must of used the wrong color thread, wrong type of thread, not on the exact 48 hours after copulation, the wrong day of the week, in the wrong time zone, on a rainy day, wrong barometric pressure, you're left handed, one leg is shorter then the other, the eggs were wrong side up, shell was too thick, a FM radio on in the same room?
IDK but you surely did something wrong or this should of worked.

That sounds like fun 💗 I love stuff like this. I'll have to give it a try once!

My Grandpa used to tell me if a pregnant dog eats grass a few days before giving birth they were mostly female, when the pups were born there was 1 male and 5 females!
That is so cool! Has it ever worked after that?
