Any tips for going to Gatlinburg Tennessee area?

I forgot to mention this before, but If you love to go off the beaten path and like a bit more of a drive then Cataloochee, NC, is Awesome for some wildlife viewing such as the pic below. It's a couple hours drive from Gatlinburg.

Thank you! I have a whole album like those from Cade's Cove, Cataloochee, Roaring Fork, and other places. I love to take pics of nature and wild life.

ooohhh i remembered something else... since you can't hike check out the Cherohala Skyway. The drive is absolutely gorgeous and you can go as far as you want and then turn around. Also, Foothills Parkway is a great drive.

ohh I forgot..
also.. try to squeeze in Big southfork national forrest..Its the other way BUT..
We did a 3 day Trail riding, camping stint there... and it was FABULOUS....
