It sounds to me as you are doing ok so far. Do you have a turner? or turning them by hand? edited noticed you have turner GOOD !! The bubble at the large end is the air sack that's a good thing and the black blob is hopfully development.

We have 41 in our bator Dh was nice and got me a turner so our 1st hatch this year and this time no hand turning

We are going to candle them tonight so keeping finger crossed.. Most of them are Cuckoo Marans some straigh some cross possable with my bantam Frizzle Roo Bubba. A few RIR and Buff Orpingtons also cross Frazzle or Cuckoo. we are just so Eggcited.

it is now 19 1/2 days for me. I have my first pip! is that normal this early?

My eggs are due to hatch on the 22nd as well!

I have 37 eggs set to hatch on th 21st. They are barred rocks,red silkies and black japs. Started with 41 and 4 were not forming so out they went, good luck with your hatch.

Thanks Karen for the welcome.... I can hardly stand the waiting and wondering... I can certainly see how this is SO addicting as I am already thinking about what eggs to get next (probably more Welsumner if this one hatches)

I candled just a handful of my 26 tonight. The ones I did had dark masses in them and they were bigger than they were 3 nights ago. I'm using a mag flashlight stuck up through a pop can but I still can hardly see them. Definitely not any veins or anything. Just the masse. Light and dark brown eggs and 1 white.

I took these 4 eggs out. I decided to candle my question mark eggs again and just get them out because I didn't want any explosions. It was Day 12. I do still have one in that I don't know about.

I now have 9 chicks and 10 more pips. one I think is not doing well. part zipped then stopped. membrane looks dry now. do not know what to do.
