Thanks. Yup he's a rooster lol he's dubbed for show. Usually when they are all yellow when chicks they end up white.

I have two pips (out of 40 eggs) and some peeping, but haven't seen anyone make an appearance yet.

I set 17 chicken eggs on Valentine's Day and as of tonight I have 3 so far that pipped.....yippee I even hear a few peeps.... they are not due to hatch until the 7th; mostly are Buff Orps and a few BR's & BCM's

I"m jealous of all of you with these pips! I have one EE chick that hatched out last night (the one in the photos above) and two other eggs (an EE, and Gold Comet) that are pipped... that leaves 11 eggs that aren't doing anything (that I can see)... my chick has knocked over the thermometer, and I can't read it now!

Seeing pips is so exciting! You know the little one is close to making it. I remember having one that rocked and rocked for two days, and I thought he was so strong and going to be a great bird, but he never pipped and died in the shell.

Yup...I have a hatch due on the 7th!!

Three (ish) dozen Rosecomb eggs and over a dozen Beltsville turkey eggs.

I have one Beltsville out already this morning! They do tend to hatch a bit early. Didn't look at the chicken eggs at all as I was just checking the water level in the incubator.

We have 7 pips this morning, out of 35 eggs from 4 batches of eggs: our own, two from the Amish, and the feed store owner's. I'm pleased to say that of those 7 pips, four are from our eggs, and out of all the eggs set, ours were the only ones that were 100% fertile.

I'm starting to think we have some super-roos, or something.

Nothing yet.... Even the chicks that were supposed to arrive yesterday didn't make it, poor babies I hope they are ok.

I think I heard a couple taps from the eggs, but no pips this morning. They aren't due till the 7th....but the waiting is killing me.

I came home and the hovabator was at 102F and 67% humidity--I turned it down a little, it was at 101.5F last night when I went to bed, but 101.1 this morning. Now I'm worried.
