I have another pip. that makes 4. The old english chick is zipping. He will probably be out by 1;30pm

so we are up to 7 now!

I'm downloading pics, but one surprise this morning is that one chick is black, with a white belly, and black and white feet!
LOL!!! WHAT the HECK?????
these are supposed to be pure Welsummers! LOL!

Two hatchlings and 5 pips when I left for work today. That leaves a LOT of eggs that better get crackin', and today is Day 21!

question: Can the humidity be too high at this point??? Mine is at 65 - 70%.

Humidity can be too high but 65 to 70% should be fine.

YAY - I now have two chicks!!! I have a problem though - the older chick, it's pecking at the new one - at it's feet, it's belly, it's head... and it keeps jumping on it. I think it's just so excited... but am afraid it will hurt the new little one... Should I take the older one out? It's completely dry, and almost 24 hours old! Em
