Anybody Set any eggs to day 03-15-14?

I candled my eggs just now....it's day 7 and I don't see anything.... on egg may have had a dark shadow under the air cell but I didn't really see anything else in the other 4. I guess I will try again on day 10 and if I still don't see anything I figure either the eggs weren't fertile or they got too cold before being collected (I got them from a guy in my town who usually supplies the classrooms with their eggs). Oh well.

:( Good luck and don't give up! Are you incubating them vertically? Sometimes when they're done vertical it's hard to see the veins at first because they start right under the air cell.

So at least two goose eggs from my earlier set are coming along. Tonight I'll candle and any that show no development will get bumped because it's beyond day ten now. I'll also do the first candle for the later three that I set Saturday and check for any life. Fingers crossed! And, someone help me, because I'm setting MORE eggs tomorrow. Silkies this time. My user title is clearly earned

I'm not incubating. Mine are under a broody Buff Orp hen. I wanted to give her something besides golf balls, I wanted to get her some chicks but could only find eggs locally.

Hey, Farnorth so sorry to hear about the eggs Hopefully you see some development soon i candled today on day 10 and 5/6 are defo fertile I chucked the other egg as it was completely clear and had a de-tatched aircell can't wait until the 1st of April. But I also have some sad news one of my Brothers dogs got out and killed two of my hyline hens which I was a bit sad about

Oh darn, sorry about your hens ChickenCrazy! Dog attacks are horrible.

Another one of my hens went broody, and between the two girls I had seventeen eggs to candle. They're all empty. I've seen the rooster breeding the last not-broody hen in the past few days, but maybe he's just not fertile anymore.

The hens will be disappointed, they think they're about to triple the size of the flock! :p

Woohoo for your goose eggs Pyxis! Set those Silkie eggs! From my position across the screen, far from any associated responsibility, I think it's a fantastic idea.

Hey thanks Sorry to hear about the eggs! I ended up buying 2 Light sussex pullets and 1 Rhode rock Pullet. I am also quite surprised as my 3 month old white leghorn cockerel seems to be fertilizing the eggs from my silkie, pekin&brahma bantams and also the LF Hmmmm Lol you never know what goes on when your not there!

That's the truth! My Pekin drake even keeps an old rubber shoe in the yard fertilized

How's everybody doing? Five of my goose eggs are coming along, and at least some of the silkies due the 10th are too, but I won't do a full candling on them all till day ten. I also have a cochin egg in there and I forgot when it's due, oops, so now I just have to eyeball it I guess.
