So cute! What kind is it?
This is a GLW Roo X Amberlink hen had to incubate as many eggs as possible after my roo was killed. The other chick that hatched before this one is glw and a red sex link hen.

I just attempted to candle and it looks to my VERY untrained eye that I have 7 out of 8 developing!

I'm doing white silkies now & bcm next, I gotta figure out how to get one little yellow guy! This is a GLW Roo X Amberlink hen had to incubate as many eggs as possible after my roo was killed. Congrats!! That is awesome!! I've got 3/7 on shipped eggs. I'm leaving them in untill at least day 14. I read this really great article, mostly beginner stuff, but it was saying as long as they don't smell you can leave them in untill lockdown. I thought that was cool because I don't want to give up hope!!! Here's a link. I thought it was well written with lots of good details...http://fluffybottomsfarm.blogspot.com/p/incubating-and-hatching-eggs_9.html?m=1Week 1 is in the books! :yiipchick How is everyone doing?

No worries. I set monday night.I'm a little behind everyone and set on Monday.... but I candled several last night and it looks like my hatching eggs all have veining! I have 30 of them.
I also have 3 barnyard mixes in there from my parent's chickens, but it looks like they aren't developing. They've had doubts about their rooster's ability to mate, and it looks like he's shooting blanks... or not shooting at all.
