I've got 2 each of porcelain and black mottled d'uccles, and 1 mille fleur baby so far. The first one hatched about this time yesterday, and they were all set at the same time, so idk what's up. But with the bator snafu yesterday, I'm surprised that any of them hatched. I've still got 10 or 12 eggs in there that should be hatching, and I believe I saw only 2 that were pipped

Come on little chickies!

Today is day 19 for me and I'm actually beginning to get that "anxious" feeling. So far I've been free from the compulsive need that most people have been showing in regards to walking over and looking at the 'bator several (thousand) times a day... but now, now I wanna KNOW.

Especially since I only have the 4 SL cochins left. I'm kinda afraid that none will hatch.

Congrats on your first silkie.
When I went to bed finally at 1:50 am, I had four chicks.
When I got up at 5:30, I have atleast ten. It's hard to see in there and I don't want to open the bator just yet. There are still 10-15 eggs to hatch. I will take out the dry ones later today and do a headcount.

Good luck everyone.

I woke up this morning and it was 98.6 degrees and 40% humidity.

So I had to pop the lid to the bator and figure out what happened to my sponge and hand towel, and refill the water cup because the angle was all wrong through the tube and the water ended up on the floor of the bator.

So far no movement, no sound.

Hang in there - that's not too low a temp - do watch though it can weaken them and then they need help.

That's what I'm afraid of... found out on Wednesday that I have to work from 3:30-9:30pm on Saturday and from 10am-2:30 pm on Sunday. They are due to hatch on Saturday.
