Anybody use Swiffer products in their house?

Last time I cleaned mini blinds was when we sold our old house...I hung them on the neighbors fence and hit them with a pressure washer. Nowadays I just wait until the kids destroy them, then I buy shades.

He must be a fluffy butt. And cute too. I have 11 silkies and always want more. Ok back to swiffing (sorry OP)....

I was talking about Swiffer. He is a rooster.

It's not just the cost of the Swiffer's but it's the environmental impact as well of throwing away all of those wipe things. We had one for a while and it really bothered me. So now we use rags for everything and I just got a steam mop for the floors. I wonder if it would work on blinds? It says you can use it on the counters or any hard surface. Washable cloths go on it and the steam sanitizes it.

Need to borrow a Swiffer the Silkie to get the dust out of the ceiling fans!

He is for rent. $5 a day. Just hang on to his feet and dust away. Spray his back with Endust first though so it sticks.

Ladyhawke - I did!

Yes, I'm contributing to landfills. But my defense is that I have refrained from having children, thus saving the same landfills and the earth the pollutants that my offspring would have produced a billion times over.

I make part of my living from housecleaning and if something makes it more efficient and less hard of my 49 year old, partially arthritic hands, then I have to do it. I've cleaned houses for five years now using the old way - damp rags to dust.

I bought some Swiffer stuff over the weekend and tried it out on my own house this afternoon. Oh. My. Gosh. They are great. They TRAP the dust, not just waft it into the air to settle somewhere else that I have to then clean.

Thank you all for your input. I'm a Swiffer girl to be sure. (PS: If I didn't have to do housecleaning for a living, I would continue to do it the old way, just so you know.)

By the way, Silkies just waft the dust around, AND they splort on freshly mopped floors. Just ask Debi.
