No can do! These are pet turkeys and pet turkeys only! If I want a turkey to eat I will be getting one from the store! These turkey deserve someone to love them because they are great pets! And they love people! They are just like my chickens but with less common sense!

Properly raised home grown turkeys taste so much better than store bought turkeys that it isn't funny.

Turkeys are much more curious than chickens. Chickens do not have any common sense.

Yeah I’ve also heard that heritage breeds are better to eat too.

I just meant that my chickens will go in when it gets dark but my turkeys won’t. And also when we built their run (they lived in just a house for a little while) they spent the whole day outside and forgot how to get back into the house. They know how to go back into the house throughout the day now but it took time!

The breed is Turkey and there are different varieties of turkeys.

Chickens do by instinct. Turkeys have different instincts and therefore react differently. It has nothing to do with common sense.

My chickens go in the coop. My turkeys go to their outdoor roosts.
