Ive come up with a solution.
Change the spelling to Americanas, and everyone would be much more happy. IMO Americana breeders are more worried about people spelling the name of the breed right than actually educating people on the differences and the breed.
I have seen many posts on here with people asking questions trying to learn about the breed, and 99.9% of the breeders tell them go to the Ameraucana website (whatever it is). Thats basically all the info they know how or want to give to people trying to learn. If breeders are trying to educate people about thier breed at least take the time to answer peoples questions to the best of your ability. Dont just say go to the website.
I know alot of questions are repeat questions, but if you dont want to educate people on your breed then just dont reply. I have answered the same questions 100 times on breeds I have, and I am always glad to help any one any way I can. ( But I quess I could just give them a website to go to and it wouldnt take near as much as my time).
Im not pointing out anyone on here, its just my opinion and everybody has one, Im just saying, if you really are trying to educate people one your breed, dont worry so much about the spelling and try to teach people what they need to know so they can learn and know the difference in an Ameraucana, Aruacana(sp), Americana
and an EE. I always take this approach, I talk and try to help anyone I can whenever I can, because I was learning once and asked alot of questions, and most people where gracious enough to help me out.
Picture your self asking thier questions and how you would want some one to answer them. To people in the know about certain breeds, others questions about that breed can be questions that sound dumb, but try to take the time to help and explain to them so they can understand and possibly help others because you helped them. Whew, I guess Im done now.
