I'm not sure which way is best, I think you could go either way. If you're planning to candle today anyway it wouldn't hurt to pull out the ones you can tell for sure have blood rings.
Thanks. I posted just to distract me from messing with them, lol. Hoping to pick up some privacy fence Friday to enclose the side yard. That should keep me busy, lol. Then I can start on the coop and run without drawing attention from the nosey onlookers!

So I upped my humidity last night, as it looked like a few eggs were getting ready to internally pip. I won’t be around much this weekend so I thought it best to do it while I could. I don’t do a standard lockdown day. I just keep an eye on them and once they are internally pipped or close to it, I’ll increase humidity. No auto-turner, I prefer to hand turn for better hatch rates so I stopped turning a few days ago because I run my incubator a little hotter and chicks will hatch a bit early. should see action by tonight or tomorrow morning! Good luck to everyone hatching!!! And everyone who has babies out already. (The quail chicks are sooo cute)!
The darn bantam eggs have internally pipped. I'm not sure if it's good or bad? None of the full size eggs have and it's only Day 18, I'm thinking the bantams may hatch tomorrow sometime.
:barnie
Bantams eggs have been known to do that!!

@RubyNala97 do you normally run the temp higher? Do you get a better hatch rate that way? Good luck!

I read that bantams eggs may hatch early, the LF eggs started hatching yesterday too though! Today is Day 20. 6 bantam eggs made it to LD, 5 hatched. I think the other one quit around day 13-14, but it was a blue egg I couldn't see in very well. Last time I counted there were about 22 chicks total so far. 29 of 42 eggs made it LD. Most of the one that haven't hatched were either too dark to see anything but the air cells.
