Hope everyone had a good day. I'm pretty tired as I got started on the flower babies coop. I know i'm counting before they hatch but if things go wrong I will just be ahead of the curve on another batch sometime. First hole...

I hate using those pallet spacers for the floor, they take forever. I can't complain much because they are free and most of them are treated.

I'm no carpenter but I've learned enough to get by. I think i'm going to do a pitched roof on this one and use shingles. That should be entertaining...lol

Good luck! My husband and FIL are super handy. I just come up with the ideas, they make it happen. Check out this little cutie, it externally pipped at the wrong end so I had to assist. Then I had to give it "boots" for curled toes.

Holy crap!! That's the coolest thing I've even seen. That chick ,just got lucky in life.

Our girl wezia has a crooked foot and will never walk right. She is healthy and doing good. Inna don't mind and neither do we. WE have to chuckle every now and then however. Out of the chicks 3 are very flat combed and one has a very raised straight comb. At this point 3 pullets and one cockerel. More later. Wezia is a Black Double laced Barnevelder.

It's doing so well now! One of my Jersey Giants has curled toes, they don't seem to bother her either. This chicks were pretty severe though, I think it's from where it was malpositioned. It doesn't even really fuss at me anymore when I check it's boot. Two of my DSLB hatched, they may be the cutest chicks I've ever seen! I don't know if it's thier coloring or what? But I am smitten! Does their coloring make them pretty easy to sex younger?

Only a select few are auto sex easy and I don't have enough experience to know the breeds. I'm sure others can help. I learn something new every day.
