Anyone doing a later year hatch that wants to share stories,experiences and pics?

Looks like I'll be hatching again - 2 of my broodys have gone broody again (one has 12 week chicks, the other 8 week chicks!). Am trying to get 6 marans and 6 cream legbar.

Day 14 candling results: OE & SCEL still looking good!
Three eggs too dark to tell.
Two with blood rings (a third was already pulled).
Two appear to be infertile.
Hopefully I will get at least the two, and maybe some from the dark eggs!

I picked up the fence panels and posts Friday. Today I picked up the coop materials. Hopefully all of the rain we have been getting here will make it easier to dig holes for the fence posts, lol.

I'm thinking they're like some of the bantams, Silver Duckwing for example, you can't tell at hatch but you can tell pretty quickly when they feather by coloring/pattern.

Only a select few are auto sex easy and I don't have enough experience to know the breeds. I'm sure others can help. I learn something new every day.

still not heard back from the Cream Legbar guy - gutted as my single egg from last time didn't hatch so really wanted to make sure that I had some this hatch. Been over 24 hours so worried he is on holidays There are no other breeders anywhere local.

No still nothing - going to look on my old phone to see if I ever texted or called him and try that and if not I'll need to go to plan B! I dont' have a plan B but I'll find one!
