Lol, it is exciting!! Congrats on your babies!

Grampa with chickens: I'm sorry yours didnt live. With my first hach only 7 hatched out of 33 I think it's just a part of learning incubation.

I'm excited as well, this is my 5th hatch. I don't imagine it getting old either. lol. I don't think I'll let myself hatch anymore till spring though. I'm kinda doing this one for my friend; she's never seen it before.

Of course I plan on putting pictures up fo the stages as well.

I encourage anyone that can, should add to it so we can ooh and aww.

Hi! I have some barred rocks due the 10th, some quail due tomorrow, some red sex-links due the 12th and I'm not sure when Gypsy's eggs are due. I candled today and they all look like the pics, everybody moving around. Also, I have 3 of hers in the bator that were warm when I took them away from her (she was setting on 24-28 eggs) I brought her down to 12. (She's very ambitious little hen) I hope to give the hatchlings to her to take care of.

Hello, I am have some coming the 9th that are a mix of americana's, BO, RIR and Wyandottes. I heard my first chirp a minute ago, how long till hatch?

Ill be happy to get anything because the man I got them from didn't know how old most where.

aargh. I upped the hum today cuz for me its day 18. the hum is too high now (68), but when I opened the vent plugs the temp went down to 99 and wouldn't get any higher. so now I don't know what to do

Arabookworm, sounds like you are ready to hatch. I bet that humidity will drop some as time passes - that is until they do hatch. Keep us posted! I am excited for you!

I don't think 68 is that bad. 99 for temp is fine too. At this stage I think they'll be fine.

Good luck with your babies!
Mine go in the hatcher tomarrow evening. =]
