Okay two pipped and three in their air cells. Two others look like didn't finishers. I'm still gaping at the survivors of the spike, course they're not hatched yet...

We have one pipped!

No sign of movement of chirping in the others though...
(Where's the nail biting icon?!?)
I'm trying to keep the humidity between 60-70%.
It's a constant challenge, I have to drip some water in every 2-3 hours!

I am right there with you-
Since our one peep/pip this afternoon NOTHING else has happened! No more noise, no movement..
I know it's premature but I am already feeling despair!

Hey, hey--there wasn't anything going on and then when I walked in the room, why, little quail were exploding out of the eggs. In about three hours, 10 out of 18 have hatched so far!

I have two incubators going, the chicken incubator hasn't done anything yet.

Maybe tomorrow.

But wow, those little quail are really really cute.

I called the neighbor's kids to come over and watch them hatch; they really enjoyed watching them pop out. They seem to hatch with less of a struggle than chickens do.
