I guess I look at it like ordering water. Water is free. I guess it would be the same as them having to pay something for the energy bill to freeze the cubes that they fill with water. But water is still freeze. And they have to wash the water glasses out afterwards as well.
I would ask for a cup of hot water with my own Twinings tea...hate the restuaraunts cheapo brand of tea...bleck! I don't care if they charge me but usually they would include it with the meal. Water is always free.
Maybe they should charge $1.00 for their time to wash, or use their ice, or energy for our teas.
It's good to know that I am not the only one that is a tea connoisseur. I happen to prefer High grown, whole leaf tea, from Sri Lanka. I have not found it served in any restaurant to date.
We had a top of the line furnace, and heat pump installed about 3 years ago. I have the heat set at 65 overnight, and 70 for most of the day. in the evening it goes to 74, and I still am wearing my coat all the time in the house. I am cold all the time, and it's worse at night. My hands are like icicles, and my feet are not much better. I also don't wear shorts even in the summer time. It doesn't help that this past summer was the coldest summer in recorded history. I hate being cold all the time, and it make me hurt even more. I am old enough that I should be having hot flashes.
