Let Your Freak Flag Fly
Well said!Yes! That's where all this ultimately leads I think. I haven't purchased meat at a store in at least 3 years. I have neighbors that raise lamb, pork, and beef and our family buys them by the whole or half and we sell chickens and turkeys to those same people. Buying a piece of boneless skinless meat on a styrofoam tray is completely foreign and unappetizing to me anymore. It's about community too. Keeping the money close and cycling it within the community builds up your neighbors, friends, and your general area in a way that buying from the big box stores is incapable of.
