Anyone else getting ready for some new baby hatching?

I now have 7 hatched and 6 pipped and 3 with no pip. This is the most successful hatch I have had so far

Whenever I did mine they swirled around quite a bit but the ones that were dead in the eggs just kinda bobbed there.

Well I opened an egg it was a dead chick but it was developed other than the yolk sac probably going to take them out today and never buy shipped eggs again. Thanks for all your help

From candling, I think I have 4 out of 12 due Thursday or so. Shipped eggs, 2 were cracked, tried fingernail polish, no good. 1 blood ring, rest were dud's. All BO's, what we like. Finally found a local BO keeper (forum member by the way) and bought a 4 month old rooster last Sunday to go with my 2 hens. Probably get 3 roosters out of these fertile eggs now

. Unfortunately I will be gone, Neighbor is going to take care of them for me.

So sorry you didn't have very good luck with them. Hope you have a better hatch out next time. It is fun and addicting. I love hatching out babies. Glad to help even if just a little bit.

Sorry you didn't have better success. I have never bought shipped eggs before. I did have 2 eggs that hatched that had slight cracks in them. I had them sitting on the counter waiting until I had a good bunch of eggs to go in the incubator and my husband accidentally hit them and cracked them a little. I went ahead and put them in the incubator and hoped for the best and they both hatched out. Wishing you all the best of luck with the 4 you have that are going to hatch Thursday!

11 chicks are out now, 2 more are starting to zip, and 3 are still the same with no pip.
