Anyone else hatching 6/25? Chicks are here!

I'm only on day 12. I had stared at that egg for about 3 minutes the night before & saw nothing. I think that's why I was so surprised! Sometimies peachicks can hatch in 26 days, so I have about 2 weeks to go.
I still have the "clears" in the incubator. I'm going to candle my chicken eggs before I take out the clear pea eggs. All the eggs that aren't developing will go at once... preferably on a trash night!
I'm still wishing you luck on those goose eggs!

Thank you - I am keeping my fingers crossed for you as well. I will try to get some candling pictures to send.

Happy Birthday!

Candling Update -
The light I had been using to candle eggs with was going dead, so I have been using a borrowed flashlight. The owner wants it back now, so I candled my chicken eggs early.
These are my results:
White eggs: 4/5 + veining, 1/5 - bloodring
Brown eggs: 7/7 + veining
Dark brown eggs: 3/3 appeared clear, shells are dark, but NO signs of development - guessing they weren't fertile
Green (EE) eggs: (shipped from BYC seller) 2/2 + veining
Silkie eggs: (Shipped from same BYCer) 11/12 + veining, 1/12 - bloodring
13 of the 14 shipped eggs are developing - I'm excited about that!
The 3 dark brown eggs I got locally don't count toward my total... they weren't fertile.
Only 2 bloodrings - one from the local eggs & one from the shipped eggs.
So...
Including my one peafowl egg, that's 25 eggs developing in my incubator right now.

That's awesome!

I candled my two remaining goose eggs last night, and even though they seem to be growing/changing, I cannot see any movement. I tried to get some pictures, but they did not turn out. All you can see is dark above the aircell. Unless they start to smell, I am going to wait it out.

Gratz, you guys! I'm so happy for y'all! You both are making it hard for me to wait and candle tomorrow. I think I might sneak a peek tonight. ._.

Good luck on those eggs... I wouldn't be too concerned about the movement. I candled my pea egg again last night with the chicken eggs. I could tell the little peachick was in there, but it wasn't as close to the shell as before and I couldn't see very well.
It's getting bigger, though.
Grow, baby, grow!!
I think I may take out the clears & the bloodrings tonight. Tomorrow morning is trash day & I'd hate to have to get rid of a stinky egg after the trash has been picked up for the week.
This is going to be an awesome hatch! I have had such horrible luck with shipped eggs. I can hardly believe those eggs shipped from Utah are doing so well. She had packed them very well, but she also labelled the box very clearly, "LIVE EMBRYOS: FRAGILE."
The employees at my PO even remarked that her box was well packed & clearly labelled.
Maybe it really does help to write that on the box. My badly damaged pea eggs had NO marking on the box other than "Fragile" and although they weren't cracked, they were scrambled.
I think the "LIVE EMBRYOS" is what caught their attention the most. It really conveys the notion that you could kill babies if you're not careful with the box!

Go ahead and candle tonight... I dare you!

LOL!!
I love that you typed "y'all!"
My husband's from SC and I love being down south! My sisters want me to come visit, but I can't because I'm hatching these eggs!
We've lived in Pa for 7 & 1/2 years now. Wow. I do miss the warm weather, all the flowering trees, and the people. Southerners are great!

I love the y'all too! I have relatives in Alabama, Tennesse, and Arkansas, so I hear it alot!

Let us know how the candling goes if you decide you can't wait! The next two weeks is going to kill me!

mine are due the 26 of june never used an incubator before, and my hens seem to have forgotten they are supposed to go broody at least once a year. I have a book I move from one side to the other and have both in cartons and on wire. but I put all the big ends up, have no idea what the humidity is, I just add water move the book around and pray. if they don't hatch will try again.
