Here's a more clear picture of my Silkie with her surrogate chick. It is from the neighbor's chickens, but she hatched it! I thought it was a Barred Rock/Cochin mix crossed with a Plymouth Rock, but they also have EE's over there and I don't really know what I have!! It's cute though!
One Silkie egg has pipped, but only has a little hole through the egg. It has made no progress all day. It is still peeping and seems to have air to breathe so we thought we better wait until morning, which would be 24 hours, before deciding to do anything or not. I so want it to hatch!!!
