anyone else living in the northeast sick of all this rain?

I'll comiserate with you, I am fed up with all this rain. In April we had a hot spell for a few days and I heard people complaining about it.

The coop is only half done, and I hope to move them out there tomorrow. We are leaving for the beach on the weekend, and I am hoping it perks up a bit, just a little sunshine would do wonders for me. Otherwise I'll be on vacation worrying about my little chickies out in their new coop. The chicken sitter is coming later today to recieve full instructions...

ok everyone, rain , rain go away..

Add me to the list of being fed up with rain! This is ridiculous! We are supposed to get rain most of the weekend and next week also.

We hardly get a chance to even mow the lawn, because its always so wet and when we do mow, the mower gets stuck in certain really wet spots.

The sand in the chicken runs never dries out, they can't even dustbathe. Bedtime lately is just time for them to dry up before going back out in the rain the next day and getting soaked all over again.

We just had to go to Lowes the other night and buy a new sump pump for the basement. Our old one was running so much it burned up...almost $100 wasted on that.

I am guessing it will go right from rainy weather, to dry code red heat and drought conditions, sometime in mid July!

exactly SunAngel! It's the same story around here, and I am not only sick of the rain, but the GRAY SKIES!!! What I wouldnt give for just a little bit of sun with that rain! Although you're right...I'll get my sun soon enough when all of this moisture is evaporating and creating humid weather when its 95 degrees. ugh. It sucks that we're losing the best part of summer.

Ok, Ok - I'm going to be that one person that spoils the rain hate fest

Here in Sacramento, CA we have had nice mild weather for while now. This is the first year in quite a few that we have actually had a Spring. Normally we go from Winter straight into Summer. Not this year. My garden is growing like gangbusters, my hens are happy and dry and producing eggs, my kids are loving the outdoors, and only had to use the air conditioner once in the last month. What more could a California girl ask for? (How about a state that wasn't going bankrupt, hehe) But other than that - all is well

Hey! Guess what!!! The sun has come out over Reading!!!!!!!! OMG, I think I need to do a dance of joy - only I won't because I can't remember which is the dance for joy and which one is the dance for rain. I don't want to jinx anything!!!!!!

It has stopped, even if it is for the shortest time. Thank You God!!

I have to admit we've had moderately dry weather these past few years so I'm not used to all this rain. JUST BE GLAD YOU DON'T LIVE IN IRELAND!

I want to move there, but I don't get how the animals there stand it! My poor chickens and turkeys are all wet and muddy and their run absolutely stinks!

I can't picture how anything ever gets done (in Ireland) what with all the rain... I know I don't go outside long in the rain.

Ughh... I can't wait for the big one-eight! (I mean turning 18 in case that's one of those things were it only makes sense to me)
