Anyone else not a fan of Christmas music?

I love Christmas music, but the same handful of songs, usually by the same musicians and singers are played over and over and over, year after year. I can remember years ago when LOTS of different Christmas Carols were played. THere are hundreds of different song or pieces, many with multipe arrangements and performers. WHY can't they play some of the others?!

I personally think it is being PC; can't get anything TOO religious, and can't completely ignore religion. So we end up with a very few songs instead of many.

I usually don't hear them until after Thanksgiving; this year I started hearing them in early November. THAT bothers me.

Oh I know what you mean! I generally tend to love holiday/Christmas music, but they play it into the ground in the stores and on the radio. Ya get real sick of Sleighride. And Winter Wonderland? C'mon, I can only hear it SO many times until I start making up my own sarcastic words to the tune....

All this talk about Christmas music I put in Mannehiem Steamroller and rearranged the livingroom for the tree. Only thing is now I gotta take DW to buy some new lamps onna counta how I rearranged it. I didn't break any just made the changes and it left a gap for lamps. Sometimes a good deed can cost ya. Oh well.

I HATE it too. You can only hear the same song so many times year after year. I can tolerate it on Christmas eve/day but that about does it. My hubby on the other hand LOVES it and would play it ALL the time if I let him... the CD's just kind of disapear this time of year.

I use to work in a mall and that is all I would hear everyday after starting Black Friday! It would drive me crazy and it still does! The only Christmas music I like is the Trans Siberian Orchestra, I am totally guilty of playing their music repeatedly.

It is OK, for Christmas week, but not when it starts in October. Plus I hate the Snow, so if it mentions snow I hate the dadgum song

Unless you're not christian, are you people SERIOUS?? I live for Christmas and the music and the spirit and the love! I love Christmas! It's funny that I read this, because I was just singing as loud as I can, alone in my home "IIIT'S THAAAAAT TIME, OF YEAR, WHEN THE WORLD FALLS IN LOVE, EVERY SONG, YOU HEAR, SEEMS TO SAY, MERRY CHRISTMAS MAKE YOUR NEW YEAR DREAMS COME TRUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" Lol and I LOVE Christmas in New York, I love it so much! I'm going to move there in a few years, I just visited for my 25th time! Yes, I count.

Maybe it's just because I'm an actor that I'm being so dramatic lol... but still... I love it!

I very VERY much dislike it as well, I really dislike anything Christmas in November. I can tolerate Christmas music on Christmas eve and Christmas Day but thats it.
