Anyone else put eggs in incubator 9-30

Me! I put 18 in sep 30 at like... 12:00, So i counted Oct. 1st as day 1.
I have since thrown out 2 that werent fertile.
Day 9 and the chicks are getting bigger!!

I put 16 eggs in on 9-29. I tossed out 4 so far. Three were clear and the 4th one was broken in the fist place. Wanted to check out if poring candle wax over the crack this early would help. It was still clear at day 7 so I tossed it out. The rest are going strong.
Happy hatching

Ok, I candled again at 10 days and found that my first candling results were correct. I cracked open the 2 that weren't growing and found 1 to be infertile, and I broke the yolk when I opened the other, but I'm sure it was also infertile. The other 6 were bouncing around inside. I love seeing them move around!

Of the 6 good eggs, 2 are from my EE hen. The other 4 are probably from the cochins and the brahma, but 1 might be a silkie. It was the only egg that was laid at ground level, which the others never do. I'm really hoping it's silkie because my one hen was killed by coyotes a few days after I found that egg. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I re-candled this morning, Day 10. Only had 3 that might be developing, though I am not hopeful as I have not see any movement. I did open the other eggs that I culled. 4 out of the 9 had scrabbled yolks. I saw one that looked like it quit early, and the other 4 were not visibly developing.

The eggs were shipped across the country, and were well packed. Even delivered in just over 48 hours. No doubt the USPS shipped via air freight. So I think I will stay with eggs closer to home for a while.

YES! I also set eggs on the 30th!!!
