Anyone Else Really Unimpressed With Their Leghorns?

I wonder this myself. Every time I started getting short on white eggs, I would have to cut back on free ranging. Sometimes I found an old nest, but most times not. The leghorns were the sneakiest about it!

Twice I have found large nests of eggs. Once there was 22 of them and once there was 17! The culprits were my SLW and black australorp. I just figured they weren't laying eggs every single day. I put a nest box out in the yard, this seems to have worked, I just put a fake egg in there and now if they don't lay in the coop they will lay in that nest box in the yard.

My two leghorns were the first to lay at 16 weeks. Since then I've gotten eggs from them almost daily. They aren't big yet but consistent

Do they free range?Maybe they made a nest somewhere else and you haven't found it yet.
They don't free range they are in a large run but there are no nests of eggs anywhere in the run. They just aren't laying. All my others are laying great just not the leghorns.
