day 15 for me now ,does anyone put cheesecloth on bottom of incubator for hatch or just leave grid as is?
Sorry I can't help you, I don't have that kind of incubator. But I have read where people have put something down...mostly to help in cleaning up. I have seen people use shelf liner, paper towels etc....so I think cheesecloth would be ok.
I am now down to the following in my large incubator: 2 Ameracuana, 6 FBCM, 3 Partridge Penedesencas, 1 Barred rock, 1 Jersey Giant, 1 Brahma and the 10 eggs from Whole Foods I just set on Saturday morning. In my smaller incubator I still have 6 cream legbar eggs...I ended up pitching all seven Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons.
