i have a small sheltie and 2 rotten kids next to me..... sometimes the hubby joins us at the end of the bed..... sometimes i have the bed all to my self!

We do have a cat or two on our bed now and then, but they stay at the foot and aren't annoying. I think they learned quickly that DH will roll over and smother anything that's not big enough to fight back.

Boyfriend hates animals in the bed, sooo every once in a while I will be rudely awaked to a cat being launched across the room... They've learned to stay on my side.

Trust me, the minute DH is out of town, the cats and dogs find their way into my bed. I just love snuggling up to them. I feel so safe when they are in the bed with me.

There are no dogs allowed on the bed at my house, but I do have a cat who insists on climbing UNDER the covers and snuggling up to me. Such a weirdo.

1 dog sleeps on a dog bed on the floor, 1 dog sleeps on the back of an armchair, 1 dog sleeps in a crate in the dining room and the other dog loose in the dining room. I hate dog hair in the bed and 1 of them snores really badly.

Here is my daughter one night last winter when it was cold out so we brought all the dogs and cats in - there is one dog missing there, she is on the floor out of the picture.

I have three dogs and sleep with between one and all three (and sometimes a cat) depending on where the doggies decide to sleep. I wouldn't have it any other way!

I have two dachshunds and one inside/outside cat that is mostly inside, plus 2 outside cats. (Recently lost a second inside/outside cat and miss her SO much.)

Anyway, both dogs and the cat sleep with me. The dogs are on either side of me and under the covers, and the cat starts out on my chest on top of the covers, then moves to half of my pillow.

If I fall asleep in the recliner, I'm still surrounded by the furry kids. Usually one dog is on my right side and the other is either between my calves or tucked on my left side. The cat drapes himself across my shoulder and chest.

They are my alternate heat sources and help to keep the electric bill lower in the winter.

The dachshunds also make sure I don't go to sleep with dirty ears. Apparently I get them AWFULLY dirty throughout each and every day.

sleeping with animals is rather disgusting. And I know I'm not the only one that feels this way, just the first to speak up. Do you all eat from their dog bowls and drink from their water bowls also?

It is so nice to see how much families love their pets! My Golden sleeps beside my bed on her own bed. I sleep so much better when she is in the house. It gives me a very secure feeling to know that she could wake me in an emergency.
