anyone else think those feathered chicken legs are creepy?

I had Faverolles and I was always cleaning their feet because their feathers helped get mud and poop stuck all in them, between their toes and so on...ugh. Creepy...no. Messy...yes!

I had an EE mutt with just a few feathers on her legs. I think SHE found them creepy as she would pluck them out (like a lady plucking her brow).

I think Faverolles are cute and their leg feathers don't look creepy to me. Maybe because I spend so much time looking at those cute, fluffy "cheeks."

Now, I think those turkens are an aquired taste...

creepy no but they are the first to look mucky slightest bit of mud or poop and they need washing so dont think ill be having any more just my silkie

The chicken in my avatar was a mutt that had feathered feet. While I loved her I would never seek out another feather footed chicken (or one with a crest) again.

The feathers would get dirty and the hen often picked at them like they bothered her.

I have no idea why I find feathered LEGS 'creepy' and feathered FEET 'cute' --- ??????

I also don't like to touch the 'chestnuts' on our horses' legs -- ergots don't bother be as they are covered with hair -- I can clean out a hoof, treat for thrush, drain pus when necessary -- no problem dealing with blood/diarrhea/vomit --

I really like all the big ol' hairy spiders and the black snake that lives in our barn -- but seeing the feathers growing out of the sides of 'Mabel's' legs just looks 'creepy' --

Squeamish is not how I see my self -- but those leg-feathers -- shudder!

I was kinda hoping I wasn't the only one -- believing that there is 'sanity in numbers' -- guess not!

Weird, I know!
