Anyone else's chicks hatching in May??

i am attempting to hatch 17 Black copper maran eggs

i put them in last night so i should be expecting them by the end of this month .

It's doing pretty well. I took the little casts off its feet today, and it is doing pretty good getting around. It is smaller than its sibling, but hanging in there.
The top is the bigger one, and the bottom is the one I've had to spend a little extra time with :)
That's good news! Mine is still limping. I need to get the vet tape to wrap the foot. The scotch tape I use is not working well.

I have a hatch due the 13th and the 19th... locking down the batch due the 13th tomorrow... temps and humidity have been stable, things looked good at last candling.

HI all!! I have an additional question about late hatching if that's OK. I want to hatch out a few chicks from the two good layers I have. Since I haven't done this before and I only have two that I want to reproduce from, is there a way to keep the fertilized eggs for a couple days until I have 6 to incubate? That way I can start them all at once. If not, is it ok to start them in sequence and then just pull them out as they hatch?
Any constructive input appreciated.

I'm so sorry I haven't been replying to any of you this week, but that was because I have been in france! All 7 of my 8 eggs hatched, I was lucky enough to see 4 chicks hatch before I went on holiday

And when I got back I was surprised to see 3 more little ones!! I haven't really had the chance to take many pictures or to sort out which breed is which but later I will take some pictures
