Anyone ever get a Notice of Correction from the Dept of Ag??

I just pulled out my papers from WA State Lab for Avian Health. I know it's a test for AI of home flocks that the state offers and is free. Other than lots of numbers being listed the only word I really understand is "Negative"

you need to check, there are programs the are the same as NPIP, but are labeled different, TX has it, WI has Wisconsin Certified Flock, most states honer these programs, but the buyer or shipper need to check, they are meant to be for small flock owners

Yes I believe I have heard about some different programs in different states (actually I think it is the same program just a different name?)

Or, at my farm they will come up positive because I vaccinate for MG.

My favorite fact about VA is that they will not let you ship without the MG test, but the State is not an MG free state........... WTH????

Virginia is in the process of relaxing the requirement to test free for MG. They do and always will, however, require both AI and Pullorum certification in order to bring birds or eggs into the commonwealth. This is great news for those of us who care about breeding quality birds.

if the test is for pullorum its instant, fast and easy. is only done once a year, the AI test is a swab but I'm not sure how long that one takes, in WI its up to the tester how much to charge, me $1 a bird unless you have a lg flock then it by the hour, so if you help it go's fast and not very expensive. some charge a $1 a bird, gas and a $10 flat fee

this is the same here in Va

the AI test is a swab

our vet wants 30 eggs for this test and the lab checks them

Our volunteer testers decide what the fee is the state does not determine this

same here its the choice of the tester, some will not even test for anyone but themselves and freinds
