Anyone ever see an egg like this before…..

(I’ll try to attach photos). I found this duck egg on my goats’ house floor, in the straw. It is normal in both shape and size, but the color is quite odd. When I first picked it up, it was even darker. I rinsed it a little and it has gone from a black to a dark gray .

Has anybody ever seen this before? Does it mean anything( such as deficiencies or illnesses)?

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

That’s definitely a Cayuga egg!! Anconas lay that color too, so I get black eggs!! It’s so fun!!
