Anyone familiar with Black Bears (poop pic)...

All the elk feces I am seeing are pellets. That looks more like brown bear than elk. A bears feces change depending on what they are eating at the time. Especially a black bears.
Yeah I used to live on a more remote property that had tons of BlackBerry bushes. The bear scat there was full of seeds. I know that came from a bear cause I walked out on him feasting on my chickens one night :( This one looks different but I cant think what else it would be!

I’m leaning towards black bear from all the feces I looked at. I wish I could say with confidence but the biggest thing we have in Indiana is coyote :lau

You are in bear territory for sure ! And I live near the coastal range in Oregon, I have seen lots of elk poop, but bears have always scared me a little. I know they are around though, people have to protect their bee hives from them with electric fence.
:(

It’s not elk... I can definitively rule that out. Elk poop is a larger version of deer poop. Sometimes it can aggregate, but it never looks like that—not that I’ve seen. I would be very worried about that elk. Thankfully, I don’t know what bear poop looks like. I am okay with that. Just glad we don’t have them. :p

My guess is black bear. It depends on what it ate that day. I just googled it. A lot look very different from each other. I think elk, deer, rabbit, animals of that nature have pellet kind of poo. If you want, you can go to the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management and look under dropping, scat & feces identification key. It shows pics of different animal feces

That is deer poop. Deer make pellets and small patties kind of like cows especially if they've been eating really rich fodder. I can actually make out what looks like the droppings trying to form pellets, but they didn't in your picture. I can certify it isn't bear because when bears eat grass in the spring - kinda like right now - their scat is filled with undigested grass filaments because they eat the young grass and the roots, but they can't digest it all.
