Anyone getting chicks shipped from Meyer today? Want to wait with me?

March 1st we got the call at 8;30 in the morning that our chicks were at the Post office....yeah smiley~
All 32 doing great, made the trip to the outside coop Saturday at 5 weeks old.
We added 6 Silver Laced Wyandottes from TSC, one didn't make it.
So we are down to 37 chicks, 3 hens and one nasty roo.

"Guaranteed Delivery Date/Time: April 5, 2011, 3:00 PM"

I got the call that my chicks were at the post office! I also ordered some baby ducks, but they will probably be there tomorrow. I got a Black Australorp, Blue laced Red Wyandotte, Buff Brahma, Buff Orpington, Delaware, German Spitzhauben, Salmon Faverolle (boy and girl), Welsummer, Speckled Sussex, Dominique, brown Leghorn and a Silver spangled Hamburg. I didn't sleep very well worrying about them since this is the first time I have received chicks through the mail.

Mine shipped yesterday and I got a wake up call at 7 am saying they were at the post office waiting for me.They weren't even open yet.First time I have ordered chicks through the mail and I must say I am impressed with Meyer.All the chicks except one are eating and drinking.The one has a bum leg but I guess you'll have that.Hopefully he makes it, I'll be keeping an eye on him.

Not sure exactly what I have yet, I ordered Leann's "Adopt Me" Bargain.Going to be interesting what I ended up with,for sure.I can tell I got multiple breeds and it looks like a couple bantams to boot.Hopefully there are a couple turkeys in there too.They're so small it's hard to tell whats what...

The dozen I got from TSC, 6 two week olds and 6 week olds,weren't sure what to do at first but they're getting along fine now.

Just got a call from the post office, they should be here within the hour. Everything is ready. Just waiting, still. Grammahen, did they give you a delivery date/time? Good luck with your new arrivals!

My 15 peeps from Meyer arrived today. They left Ohio last night and made it all the way to CT....ready for pickup at 10:00 AM this morning. They were all peeping, hungry and healthy. Here they are 15 minutes after I took them out of the box. 5 Americaunas, 5 Wellsummers, 2 White Plymouth Rocks, 1 Golden Buff and 2 Anconas. An Ancona was the first one to drink! They looked very cozy in their shipping box. Thank you Meyer!!

Did anyone get theirs earlier that the date posted on USPS? I'm getting anxious! Also did they add any extra birds to your order? I read that they add 4% to each order.

They are here! They arrived 1 & 1/2 hours earlier than what the tracking said they would. All seem fine and happy!
