Anyone had any legal problems from selling eggs?

Hello, I was wondering if any of you here in SC have heard anything new on this. I just started raising my own backyard chickens and have been approached by several friends and neighbors about buying them.

Also I got my very first egg today woot.

I live in Lexington county, SC and spent a few hours on the phone today being transferred from person to person and still never got a clear answer. I even requested this information in writing and told several people I would be happy to come into the local office to get the information and as soon as those words were out of my mouth I would get transferred yet again.

It is getting frustrating that even the officials don't seem to know what is really going on.

I'll post if I hear anything in the days to come and will keep checking back to see if anyone else has better luck than I do.
