Anyone hatching 20th or 21st? Hatch with me!!!

DH thinks he can see 8 chicks now but it's hard to see through the little window, they keep moving. But another egg has zipped, too.

Since 3 pm though we're suddenly having an awful problem with the temperature, it suddenly spiked to 105 and we've had to crank it down, then it jumped to 107, we've changed thermometers and it's still happening so we've unplugged it for now. It's 79 degrees in the house. Are all the chicks' body heat and respiration doing this? or has our temperature thingie gone kaflooie?

Well so far out of 42 eggs we have 15 chicks: 1 black sumatra, 2 BLRWs, 8 americaunas, and 4 golden comets. There are a quite a few that are pipped. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Up to 14 hatched, 1 zipped about 3/4 of the way and 2 piped. I have had 3 die total

, the first that ruptured the yolk sack and 2 that started to zip a little and then just died.
Then I have the second bator going due on the 23 (on day 19 now) and I have 1 that hatched already and 8 more piped! I had thought these would be on time or even a day late as had low temps a lot at night when the house cooled down. I just candled them last night and took out turner and most showed they had room to grow yet so this is a big surprise!

I definitely counted 8 this morning and the one that zipped, zipped at the narrow end and is still inside, but I can see breathing. We open the hatcher late this afternoon to remove them. (This is the 5th day using the dry incubation method.) We'll leave the other eggs in the hatcher just in case some hatch late.

I have 4 so far out of 11 that made it. I started with 50 but I had a lot that didn't develope. The ones that have hatched are so cute kinda helps with loosing so many.

cute picture. I will post one as soon as I get them out of hatcher.

Day 25 and no chicks of 30 eggs. Has anybody's eggs hatched beyond this point??? How long should we give them before starting over?

We've got chicks staggering all over the bator! I love the way they sit in the egg cups.
We have two pips in the Marans eggs now!
