Anyone hatching April 5-7 or so? ALL DONE, READY TO BE LOCKED

Got some mixes from my flock cracking and hatching, or is it pipping and popping? right now and there are 11 Dark Cornish in there too that should hatch around the 7th!

what model is your hovabator, and does it have circulated air?

I locked my eggs down on Saturday. So far so good. All 6 (out of 10 originally) still seemed alive and moving. One is an Easter Egger Mix, the others my colorful barnyard mix. Now here is my question: has anybody noticed that their eggs are moving in the incubator? I swear, for the past 5 days (since about day 14) I have heard them move around in there. Am I going nuts? Last night we had a horrible lightning storm that kept my horses awake all night (and me of course) and I swear they were awake as well, moving their eggs around. Sometimes I hear eggs touching, like a soft "thud" , as if they are playing in them. Has anybody had that experience?

We go into Day 20 tonight at 6 p.m. AND, naturally, we are expecting terrible storms complete with hail!

Generator has gasoline, at least. I will NOT lose this hatch, dang it. I won't have it in me to start again this year if I do.

Good luck Cynthia! We didn't lose any power even though 4 consecutive storms over 5 hours brought lighting every 1-2 seconds. You could almost read a book. I hope all will be well for you too!

Avalon 1984 - That sounds freaky! I've never heard anyone say that before hatching, but it does happen during hatching.It must be a good sign.

Here's a picture of my broody out for her last walk before lock down. When she fluffs up she just looks like a ball of feathers!
