I came home from work and 3 more babies hatched. 9 so far. Still 10 more to go. But since they all hatched at once I don't know who is who. I was trying to keep track. Oh well healthy babies makes it all better.

for those of you looking for hatching eggs, i bought ten, received twelve bbs orpington hatching eggs from Shannon at Red Roof Hens of Georgia

eggs were well packed and came without damage

ten of twelve eggs hatched, eleven if you count the one i had to help, then cull

she has a bunch of different kinds of chicks

her byc name is ilovefrizzles all caps

Latebloomer I'm so sorry about your chickie. I have been lucky so far but one of mine died while pipping. At least i didn't have to make a decision. Thanks for the tip on where you got your eggs. I may have to check her out. I'm addicted now. Just don't tell hubby

now i have a chick that was shrink wrapped and i have been helping slowly. it looks like the yolk isn't absorbed. i'm not sure tho since i've never seen this before. i stopped and wrapped it mostly in a warm wet paper towel and put it back. will it absorb and be ok? or is it a goner?

also i'm on day 23 when do i do the float test? should i candle first? i have 9 eggs left in the bator.
