I'm only gonna be able to keep like 2 of them and I have to fight with my kids over which ones to keep, 'cause of course they don't like the ones I like.

Why thank you. Now I think I am officially embarrassed....

Sue, I'm not sure. If I had to guess I would say Lavender. But don't hold it against me, I could be wrong

I'm feelin' it.....and singin' it....go chickies go!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....got out the steathascope....listened to my DGD's heartbeat. We went to the incubator and listened to the first egg.....HEARTBEAT. So a few more just to make sure....and I picked out ??? ones.....HEARTBEAT!!! So, I got worried I was hearing my heartbeat through my fingers...what do I know???? So I put the egg down on a towel and did not touch it and could still hear the heartbeat!

Ok....I can relax now.....that is at least four chicks....not going to listen to every one right now. When I move them over tonight into the paper cartons I will check as I take them out. Have everything ready. Sponges, paper towels, spongy shelf liner....at the ready!!!
Have the brooder cleaned and scrubbed. Need to get the lamp out and make sure it works.
Buff Orpington over RIR's, one Partridge Rock, one Dark Cornish and two EE's.
I have Barred Rock eggs and Barred Cochin over black hens!!!
I cannot wait to see the babies....oh, and the cochin eggs had heartbeats........39 eggs total....
