HI... Mine (6 of them) are due 4/8 or so. First timer. Question: They are with the hens for now in their brooding boxes. Do we need to move the eggs and one hen to a lower level? When? The brooding boxes are up higher. Can we use a dog pen in the hen cage? Can she keep them warm enough? Nights are in 50's. Do we need to keep them indoors? Help! Thanks... need support! What is lockdown? How does one candle them?

I was also wondering about temps as incubation proceeds. I'm on day 14 and my temps are starting to run a little higher. Before I was having trouble getting it warm enough. Is this normal??

COOL-LITE TESTER off of ebay $15 is what i got and to me its money well spent!

I have a brinsea candler. It works really well but some of my eggs are really dark n hard to see inside. I can see movement in most but some are just dark shapes. I was just wondering if there was a way to tell before the hatch. Thanks
