and a question: would you slip another baby under my broody just in case her other two eggs don't hatch, or would you not risk it? She hears them in the brooder next to her and she is going insane clucking and checking her eggs. I don't know if she would accept it or not or how'd I'd even do it.....but I just thought it would be better than just one chick if the others are duds. Opinions?

I left 5 in the brooder with the one weak chick to see if they can get her perked up a bit so I'll have a photo of the last bunch in a little bit. They are sleeping around her and she is still alive, so I'm hopeful.

Congrats to everyone!! I've got some pics!! I had to Move my Broody into her own coop today, I figured I'd give her the remaining Eggs and if she sat, Great! If not.... Well, she snuggled right down onto that nest with her 5 new little babies!!

My final count...ok, semi final since I still have 3 in the incubator and 1 under my broody until tomorrow or Friday....out of 30 eggs, I have 24 babies hatched right now. 3 unpipped, 1 still unhatched under the broody, 1 quitter at 6 days and 1 chick that died this morning

For only my second incubator hatch on my own and from my first broody hatch ever, not to mention eggs that were iffy when I started due to loose air sacs, I don't think I did too bad! I always wish they all would make it, but I'm happy tonight surrounded by fluffy balls of cheeping
