Looks like day 19/20 here, with at least one more like day 18 - the laggard. So I'm right within the 26th-28th window for the first group.

We'll politely overlook the next three groups. LOL

Ok, so we are almost through day 18. I am sure that I have heard peeping from under my mama hen. I am going to go listen more, but I am sure. heheh! So fun!

We're almost thru the end of day 18 and already can't keep our faces off the glass or ear to the vent to listen for anything...Ours went in on the 6th so we're with you!

I'm hatching on the 27th too. I started out with 10 silkie eggs but am now down to three hopefully they all come through ok

Tomorrow is day 18 for me and I have to decide on using egg cartons to hatch in or go for the wire in the hova-bator. Stress, stress!!! We did a half hearted candling tonight and think 5 or the 7 lemon blue cochins are strong and viable. The other two are question marks. We only did 4 of the 15 welsummer eggs and all were dancing so we opted to leave the rest alone.

Chick "jump out" day is almost here!!!

I have 34 black Australorp eggs due to hatch tomorrow... my first time doing this. Have been hearing some peeping today and one egg has tiny hole pipped through. I'm not sure whether this is more exciting than waiting for Santa... but it rates a close second!
