Anyone have a chicken diaper pattern?? pics of a not so happy chicken!

Thank you farmer kitty! I am normally good at making patterns and such for my horses and such but my brain is a little tired lately. LOL My chicken's name is LOOKOUT, because when she was little she had a Vit E problem and her head bent around. She got a lot better with BYC's suggestions but still will walk in circles when excited and other chickens tend to pick on her so in the house she came!

Good question, Terrie. Moot point.

Chickens in the house? For any reason except to be featured on the menu? Preposterous. Some things just should not be entertained. That's one of them.

"The folly of our age is that we should embrace any sort of notion, and call it good."

I probably need therapy...

My husband would agree with you I am sure... one one ray of hope was when he said "No Chickens in the HOUSE!!" (I took that to mean, it was ok to have them in the yard.) There went my visions of watching TV with a chicken on my lap...

Well, reb, you are unique around here: a wife that actually hears and accepts what her husband has to say. Fancy that?
Besides chickens as TV companions leave much to be desired. They rarely have anything meaningful to add and they really only want one thing: more popcorn.

But this leads me to ask if there are any men who choose to have chickens in diapers?

Thanks for the diaper making video.. I've been trying to come up with a suitable pattern by looking at some of the sites that sell them (not copying! ..just getting ideas), but I think the video one is the best of all. I won't have to make a diaper every other week ..for my growing birds... the elastic will give some growth allowance.

On a side note: is popcorn okay for them to eat, really? I mean, the popped version.. (don't laugh... I feel like such a doofas for asking that, yet putting a diaper on my chicken ..well.... my Daddy is probably twitchin' in his grave!)

LOL

Curious. Does the poo stick to the chickens butt? You wipe it off after a diaper change? Powder its little bottom? You can always draw something on the diaper after you put it on her? Have your neighbors sign the fresh diapers with colorful magic markers? Would that work?

You are welcome!

The rest of these guys are having to much fun to be of use for patterns but, they do provide good entertainment!

Terrielacy-Your DH would have a problem in my house. It is an old farm house and as it shifts with the seasons cupboards don't always stay shut! Other times they fit so tight you don't think you will get them open!

giggle, my DH and Mother (I take care of her) would commit me if I ever did that! Some where I had read you can "box" train a chicken. My luck the chicken would use it as a dust bath! There are sites for chicken panties...looks funky tho! Still smiling, you go for it, if it makes you happy! teeeheee.

Yeah they can eat popcorn, no problems. Salt and butter optional. Sounds like your dad was a wise man in his time.
