congrates to you both. I just got home and one of my four eggs in the incubater has a peep. How long does it take for the chick to come out after peeping and should I help?
It takes hours for a chick to completely hatch out. Do NOT help them unless you think they aren't going to make it. Also don't take the eggs or chicks out of the incubator, until the chicks have hatched and completely fluffed out.Just looked again and another egg is rocking and I hear some peeping. When do I need to take them out of the icubater?
I love hatching chicks, and I've been doing it for years! Its almost like Christmas morning! Thanks, watching and waiting like the proud papa. My first attempt at hatching. I have a brood box, chick starter medicated, and chick starter feed. I am fifty three years old on Wednesday and i haven't felt this excited about something for awhile, crazy huh? My only child my daughter will never have children so this is as close as i'll get to grandchildren.
