Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

We have a family restroom where I work and there's a gross spot on the floor by the urinal. No idea why no one scrubs the floor. My guess is that it's stained from grossness.. and WHY does no one flush the urinal? I'm constantly going in there and it's not been flushed! If you don't want to touch it after touching body, use the paper towel after you wash your hands! Sigh.. boys.

If it's linoleum urine eats the finish off then eats the linoleum. I had an account were we used acid on the floor to get the stain out. ACID!

My other favorite is gum in the urinal. I swear every time I would put a new screen (which is gross enough) someone would spit their gum in it!

:sick

Gross! :lau

My old dog would get car sick. Poor thing only lasted 10 minutes if she had eaten.

Vinnie update..... Today is OK. No real food interest. He did eat 2 freshly boiled eggs. It helped that my dogs were competition for eggs. Currently sleeping and when up not wobbly like last time.

I think we are over the hump for now. :wee

No chicken sweaters here. Sandy is looking rough all half molted and patchy. She has a great appetite at least!

When I first saw the image, the thumbnail image was skewed and I thought What?!!, but after clicking saw they were normal shaped. It's early.

I have 3 brothers and as teens our home became the home of unwanted teen boys. My brothers friends stayed w us all the time, esp in the summer. One day my brother's friend was sleeping on the porch & I thought What's that smell?! I thought my cat had killed something.. Nope.. it was that guy's feet. We'd spray his feet w/ lysol while he slept. At least he was outside though. So glad I have girls, at least they have shame.

I just had to share this pic of my coop. I title this phone 'This is why we can't have nice things'. I got a bale of straw and put it in my coop... apparently it's very interesting b/c they shredded it and tossed it all over the floor. I shove it back over, they pull it back out. smh.. Worse than kids. Keep getting it in their water dishes. I'm going to get a tote to stuff what's left of it in so it won't get all poopy. I have another bale in my trunk that's going to be staying there since they can't handle it.View attachment 1164061
We keep our hay in an old clothes hamper (like the hotels use for housekeeping services), it's not waterproof so must be kept where it won't get rained on, with a ply wood top, seems to work pretty well.

I considered keeping it outside the coop, but there's nowhere that's protected enough that it won't get covered in snow when winter gets here. I was getting the much smaller compressed bales from TSC that were wrapped in plastic, but I bought a couple bales from a farm that are huge and not wrapped. I may wrap the one in my trunk w/ a tarp when I bring it in later.

My son is 11, so the stinky years are just ahead of us. I can always tell when he has a friend over, because no one can seem to hit the toilet except mine. Probably because I make him clean or maybe he has better aim. When I go visit a friend who has 3 boys, 11, 8, 5 yo oh it stinks and there is always a puddle of pee by the toilet. She says one has a crooked pe_is and has trouble with aim.
He needs to adjust his aim for the offset.

I had 2 bales of straw on my wire bottomed garden cart and covered in 2 tarps. When I opened the tarp both were soaked AND I was greeted with a pair of beady little mouse eyes! :barnie
I tossed it all in the run since it was only like 2 weeks old. Yes Mouse and all went in the run.....although mouse had stopped moving for some reason.....there may have been a shovel involved.
