Oh gosh mine are the SAME way. Ridiculous.
Last fall I tried to do a cute hay bale with pumpkins on it decorating my porch- the chickens shredded the hay all over the porch. Now they try to ruin all the other animals hay as soon as we get it off the truck!

Mine just push everything toward/against/into the water feeder. Sheesh!

That's exactly what mine have been doing and it's making me crazy. I don't really care that they're tossing the hay all over the place, but stop getting it in the water dish! Then they sit there and act like they haven't had a drink in days & it's my fault. I did take a small tote and stuff it full of straw last night. Unless they managed to pop the lid off then at least that part was contained. And the nesting box I stuffed into the corner where they were laying is constantly empty.. all the straw pulled out of it too, but when I moved the box out of the corner they just kept going back there like they missed it.
