That sounds really good, @rjohns39!! I may try it.... My lasagna is really a cheat... I layer with the noodles; whatever sauce I like today from the store with garlic, parsley, basil onion and browned Italian sausage added. then usually a layer of fresh plum tomato sliced, and fresh spinach, and then straight ricotta and mozzarella. I can usually only get 2 layers, 3 if I'm really lucky.... LOL

Last time I made it, I also made the mozzarella and ricotta from raw milk.
