Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

I know it happens but except for a long time ago when I lived on the Eastern shore of Maryland near the Purdue plant, and occasionally a few would escape from the trucks, I've never witnessed a chicken "in the wild"!
I guess Miami has a whole population of community chickens. They don't belong to anyone in particular and are so used to people everyone feeds them. When the hurricanes came through there was a story about a man trying to round them up and take them north.

Yes the Florida keys is known for having wild chickens as well.

Have to share my embarrassment with people I know will understand.

Worked a day account for about 3 hours today. (Luckily alone) Go about my job and get a bunch done. Go to get back in my car to leave for home. Notice a funny spot on the back of my seat.

And if you've been gone for a whole week without as much as a postcard you might have to turn in your SW membership card!

Have you guys read the thread started today called
"Where did they come from???"

Hilarious except for the part where someone may have dumped them or they may have escaped from home...
