Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Well my chicken peeps.... Many of you will remember that my sons dog had dental surgery last Wednesday.... With many biopsies sent to the lab.

Lab work is back and the news is the worst possible. Malignant cancer with a few months at best. He won't eat so I do not think we have months.... More like a few days to a few weeks.

If I seem a bit off or ghost for a while I am sure you all will understand.

Poor sweet pup. I'll keep him in my heart.
Give him a soft little pat for me. :hugs

I am so sorry the news was not good. Spend all the time you can with that sweet baby. My heart breaks for you and your son.

We will survive this. It will just be rough for a while.

Kind of not what anyone expects in an 8 year old dog.

I have always told my son that where there is life there will always be death. Just hard to accept, understand or deal with.

It knocked the wind out of him to get that kind of news. My job now will be to stand strong.

I am so so sorry :( I lost my best girl (just shy of 6 years old) to lymphoma in 2015 and I was told months, but ended up only having a few weeks. I tried my best to cherish every moment as I'm sure you all will also :hugs big prayers and hugs for you.

It's a damn hard job being a parent. :hugs

Don't give up hope just yet. Get a referral to a dog oncologist and find out what your options are. Then make your best possible decision on what's best for the baby. In the case of my avatar, she was growing new tumors at a record pace and was already beyond her breed's normal life span. There were three treatment options including radical surgery, chemo (not like what humans go through) and imuno therapy. We chose the latter but then the oncologist basically told us it was too late. His only recommendation was make her as comfortable as possible as long as possible. We lost her two months later.

When I saw your initial post, I feared you would get that diagnosis and prayed you wouldn't. With tears in my eyes my thoughts, hopes and prayers are with you.:hugs:fl

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Having been through the cancer with my Cinnamon I know Vinnie is already leaving us.

CSU is an option but really looking at him this morning I told my hubby I would be surprised if he makes it another week.

They sent a dozen biopsy samples to CSU and even they said it is not treatable.
