Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Ha my brother guestimate I have about 6 truck loads LOL
too far for this old lady to drive loads of nuts...
You win again. I have 2 trees close to the house. There are probably more on the property but I'm not sure I could get 100 lbs in 3 days with the 2 I have. They make a terrible mess and beat the house too. Wind storm sounds like a bunch of paratroopers landed on the roof and started doing the river dance!

The better retirement plan might be to log the trees for the wood, very expensive!
There was actually a story around here not to long ago. Older gentlemen let's a company come in to log some trees. They haul off so much and pay him. Then when he went out to see they had taken all his black walnut trees and paid him a pittance what they were worth.
Last I knew he was fighting it in court.

Here is a picture of the kitty tagging along with me and my son on our walk. My son thinks it is the funniest thing that the cat follows us.

That's horrible. My boss's neighbor was in the process of having their house foreclosed on so they decided to have the property logged. Tree guys came in and go through the woods tagging trees to chop, some on her property since the neighbor apparently never told them what exactly was theirs. There's a ravine that divides their property they had to go around, on my boss's land. Tree day comes and they show up with a bulldozer! My boss hadn't left for work yet and stops them. Shows them the property line and explains the path they're about to take their bulldozer is right over the septic system that was installed the year before, the tree people thanked her b/c they would have had to pay to fix the damage. And even if it wasn't over the septic they would have to travel on her property which she didn't permit. Apparently the neighbor's plan was to take the $$ and run. She has black walnut trees too, so the loggers were probably really excited.

I know y’all are tired of hearing about Buff Baby. I think she must be younger than the others and growing more slowly. I pick her up and she so quiet and snuggley.

I read so much how Bantam Brahmas were favored over Cochins, but I am not enjoying 3 of them. They are not as sweet as the Cochins.
Couldn't resist this. Seeing your Buff baby made me think of this video. What can I say....I'm an immature child at heart
